Unhappy 02 600F4i issues

I recently purchased my motorcycle and it ran well, and than i got the state inspection done and now the red Fi light comes on and the rpms go down when I am riding, also when I go over a bump, and will sometimes shut off when I am at a stop sign. it can accelerate but I really need to baby the clutch. Heard could be a electrical issue or the carb needs cleaned possibly but just not sure. Any thing I could do or things I could go and check out, before I pay for a flatbed to come pick my sweetie up? Thank everyone

Definitely sounds electrical, also your bike is fuel injected and has throttle bodies, not carbs. Check all your connections. If the light comes on when you hit bumps or when you accelerate it suggests to me its a loose connection.

+1 for electrical diagnosis and checking for loose connections. Be more specific about "babying the clutch" as that one may not be electrical...

Most of your connections are on the left side (sitting on the bike) under the fairing. Start there. Also prop the tan up and check the fuel pump connection.

Sounds like it is starving. What were you doing immediately before this problem presented itself? Is it possible there is a line pinched somewhere? Did this start happening slowly or just all of as udden?
