its funny because something very similar happened to mebut this was after I changed my plugs, it took longer than before i changed them to start and the idle speed didnt sound right for the first 3 min, hope is just the cold wether (20 F)

 

my bike it did the same thing but that was because i removed the gas tank to get to the plugs..
and what brand are the new spark plugs.

 

ngk laser iridium . put them in and it started right up!

 

yeah I removed the tank as well, disconnected everything cleaned it so that could also be the reason why it acted like that... maybe I messed something like that FPR, I used ngk spark plugs iridium IMR9C-9H, and installed the way I got them sincethe manualrecommend not to do any adjustment.

 

yeah. i got the IMR9a-9h. works great! the ngk site said it was for my application
