Default 01 F4i, new battery, no juice

Hello all, forum noob here to beg for wisdom and such.

Got an 01 F4i, put a new battery in it, and I get nothing from the ignition switch. Fuses all give the magic beep of continuity, what's the next place to start looking for 12 volts? Thanks for the help, all hail Soichiro-san!

Trace the ignition wires, see where the continuity is broken. Wire harness connections are known to flake out occasionally - pins can come out, wires can break, etc.

Also make sure you charge the new battery before putting it in. But if you have the foresight to use a multimeter, chances are you didn't skip over that crucial part

Cool

Very late update: I found the dirty culprit of the ignition-less F4i. Turns out there is a 30 amp fuse INSIDE one of the larger watertight electrical connector plugs below the seat. It was sweet to find a repair that ran about 50 cents, but irritating that a fuse would be so hidden.

So if you ever jumpstart your bike and it won't start again, take a look inside the connectors under the seat. I'll be keeping a few fuses taped to bottom of the passenger seat from now on.

Ah, the main fuse. Very common to blow during jumping.

If you would have said that you had jumped it, or not said that the fuses were good, you would have been pointed in that direction sooner. Good that you found it though.

Is that fuse in the same spot on an 04? The bike I just got doesn't have any juice at the ignition either, I had the batty on charger for hour and was using jumper cables to try and jump it, all the little fuses are good too.
