Rear shock swap/adjustment options
I finally put the rear set risers on my F2 and got a ride in between all the rain we're having here in the Bay Area. They're a great addition to the bike, adding a lot of feel and putting a bit more weight on the front end so I need to rely less on that crappy rear shock. They also free up some room in the 'cockpit' making it easier for me to get better body positioning. It's definitely more nimble. If I ride more than 6/10ths though, I still get some scrapage. Oh well, the Fox and a taller front tire are in my future. I can't really use them honestly till middle/end april when the rains go away.

I'll be ordering a set of the F4i risers asap!
OH - what about your shift linkage - did you have to modify/replace it?
It comes with a lengthening bit. It all bolts up. Once I get better shocks and valving I think I will pick up his rearsets. They look super trick and will be better than risers only, but I'm not going to spend $250 on them when I need a $450+ shock and tires more!
I just bought a Fox and had it shipped off to Jamie Daugherty for length adjustment, valving and rebuilding. I can't wait! I just blew a fork seal on a hard ride in the hills, and I figure I'll get new springs and fork slider bushings during the rebuild. I might get gold valves, but the front end hasn't given me trouble so I'll throw parts at it only if it becomes deficient with my new shock. I can't wait!
