so what does cranking it with out the plugs in do. Beside obviously no combustion. but will it actually blow the gas out the top of the spark plug hole

i siphoned the gas out successfully . I have to call it quits for the day. Tomorrow Im gonna crack by hand. and Ill keep you post. Oh and sand man Ill take pic of my carb boots as well

It will if there's enough gas in the cylinders. If there's not enough gas in the cylinders to blow it out the spark plug hole, then there's not enough to cause an issue while cranking to develop compression (when the plugs are in).

What you want to avoid is having the piston move up and attempt to compress the gas. It is incompressible compared to air and will cause bigtime stress on your piston, wrist pin, connecting rod in particular, and crankshaft.

should I try and siphon down the spark plug hole or will that not work

I don't see why it shouldn't... be careful not to get it in your mouth, though.

I have a raging clue that you'll need an oil change in the not-so-distant future... Would you like a little motor oil with your crankcase gas?

So definately oil change before I fire her up again if if the oil is 6 days old ? I'm happy to say that I got all the gas out of there and cranked it with out the plugs and vapored that shizz outta there

If the gas sat in your cylinder for any length of time, then yes an oil change is probably necessary.

The fuel will easily drain past the piston rings and into the crankcase.

Right on. Good lookin out. Tomorrow I have a lot of stuff to buy. Petcock rebuild. Throttle Cables. Oil. and a pack of smokes
