Heh calm down. Get the gas out, fix what caused it and then see what happens. Was working on the carbs in my F3 and got caught in a rainstorm. Same thing happened. I just siphoned it out, blew out the engine with my compressor some and then hit the starter a few without the plugs in to clear the rest.

A single failed start try prolly didn't do any damage. Just get things fixed up before trying again and see what ya git then.

I was actually hoping for pictures of the rubber boots with clamps because I need to know how mine go back on... I'm rebuilding my bike and stuck on this.

No need to rent one. If its gas you have to remember: gas evaps a lot faster than water.

Using an air compressor was overkill. Actually, prolly siphoning it out was overkill. There's a way to hand crank the engine. Nowhere near a bike to photo it, ect. Look in the manual about checking valve clearance and it'll show what you need to do to hand crank it.

The objective here is get the fluid out (gas in your case but it can be oil or water). Make sure your plugs aren't fouled (or clean / replace if necessary) and then go from there.

Don't panic as you don't have a reason to yet.

Don't crank it with the plugs in. If there is fluid in the chambers and the engine has compression, you can cause damage. What Sand.Man was talking about. The fluid (gas, oil water) won't compress like air and can bend a rod.

Just get her cleaned out and fix what caused the gas to fill her. Then see what happens
