i have a 92 f2 and i need a new engine,are the mounts the same all through the f2 models and will they be simple bolt-ins.
and what about f3's also.how hard,what's needed and will anything suffer?

All year F2 engines, and all F3 engines are a direct swap

Now is the perfect time to stick a 900RR motor up in there. It's an easy swap. Just a thought.

 

Is it really that easy of a swap? I'd like to know more! What is the weight difference in the motors?

The 900 motor weighs 146 lbs (well, the 893 does). Don't know bout the F2. Blackbird motor weighs about 184 so I gained 40 lbs. but power difference more than makes up for it. If you aren't in a hurry, I will have an fresh 893 together in couple months or so. It's been decked 25 thousandths so should be plenty stout. Just no time to put it together.
