Default engine swap

hows it going i have a 1990 cbr1000f my engine going it is getting very week and i was wondering what year or engine types would fit in it maby get a newer one the fitts rite in it thank you if anyone could help. i would post a pic of it but cant seem to figure out how to do it

89-91/2 will definitely fit - as for the others - check the workshop manuals in the tech section.

I have a motor out of a 91 CBR1000F that has about 50k on it. I'll sell it to you for cheap if you are interested.

What's wrong with your engine? Something mechanical?

i think my engine is good it only has 17k on it that good right? Just got into bikes this summer have bine realy into cars but im learning. MY spark plugs were shot should have checked them when i got it but guess i over looked it but all is good now. i did all my flueds while i was at it next is find out what i should go around and tighten...any ideas i while prob make other post for that question tho

17k is a baby, man! That's not even broken in, yet...

As far as things to tighten.. well.. whatever's loose, I guess.

I'd make sure the chain is in good shape, adjusted correctly, and lubed. Also make sure your tires are in good shape...not cracked up or bald.

As far as what you should tighten goes , from my experience I would check everything on there mate!

When I changed my spark plugs I found they were not even in there finger tight! One of the clutch slave cylinder bolts was loose as well. Spend half an hour checking everything you can see , if the plugs were shot it looks like she hasn't been loved like she should have been .
Nothing to worry about , but you don't want bits falling off as you ride changing all the fluids was a good move

thanks guys, i changed the pluges and all the fluids. went riding for a little it ran grate,i got the bike for only 1000 buks abotu 3 months ago..i love it my brother and cusins talk alot of smack about how bug it is there all on 07 and 08 gsxr but i was hanging right there with them.
