yeah its an F2. Ill check to see if it has a trans then. I work on cars usually so I always thought they were two seperate things. Im an picking up the motor today so Ill let you guys know if it doesnt have it or not.

 

Most of the the time you would have to split the case ( block) to work on the trans. Major PITA ........

But if you work on cars and have rebuilt a manual trans then you should be ok.

 

well to fix my bike in the first place I would've had to split it anyways so I might as well learn when I can

 

Yea your going to have to buy a gasket set I did the tranny swap like you and took me about 4 hours because you will be taking everything off the motor. And since your in there just get a new head gasket too. I bought a motor for woulda been 599 off eBay talked him to 300 if I came and picked it up. Got there and the bottom end where the stator was was cracked so I'm like this ain't gonna hold oil and he was about to give me it for free when I just threw him 100 bucks. Jb welded the spot and worked perfectly lol

 

Just picked up the engine and it does have the trans! It is fully working besides having a dead battery. Even has a fresh air filter. All I need to do now is clean it up and start tearing down my bike

 

nice man, that motor needs stripped down & cleaned so its ready to install.

 

Jesus man! You didnt just buy the motor you bought the entire bike minus the frame hahah. Good pick up!

 

yeah I was stoked for the buy. ordered some fork seal, sliders, bar ends, mirrors, and even an f2 watch yesterday. Once I sell some audio stuff I'll buy the fairing set I want and then she'll be pretty much complete. I have been toying with the idea of a turbo (mostly for the sound) but I have no clue where to even begin with that one

 

lolz turbo is a bad idea on this bike unless you rebuild all the internals. Its just to old. I cant wait to get money again to finish my f4i swap

 

Yeah its just a thought. a 600 is all you really need in the first place anyways
