a friend of my cracked his 929 motor when the bike was dropped. he got a 954 motor but is now knocking. sounds like a bottom end knock. does anyone know what internal parts can be swapped out between the two engines?

I believe the difference in displacement was from the bore of the cylinder, not the stroke. So I would assume (assume, because I do not know for sure) that all the other inner mechanical parts...rods & crank, could be swapped. I would definitely put a new bearing set in though. No reason to crack open a case and not replace the bearings.
