Default Main fuse keeps blowing

I recently had a drain on my battery that I narrowed down to a handful of bad wires. I decided to replace the whole wire harness. Its not a new harness, but it came off a working bike. After I put it in, I had no power, and found the main fuse blown. After replacing it a few times, I came to realise that it blew every time i plugged in the solenoid, or hooked up the battery after it was already plugged in. No clue why its doing this. Theres no exposed wires, no crossed wires, no metal on metal anywhere. Everything is plugged into the right spots as far as I can tell. Only things not plugged in are the headlight and turn signals, because none of those parts are currently on the bike.

If you have a voltmeter , check that the solenoid is working properly and not shorting out on ya.

Is your battery hooked up backwards?

Otherwise, you have a power wire grounded somewhere.

Default Main fuse

Run a continuity check from the solinoid to ground with the positive battery terminal disconnected. You should be able to trace your short easily.
