Default Looking for quick Ignition answer

I have a 93 f2 that I have recently put a 600rr tail on and I would like to add the lock for the rear seat. I have found someone that has the entire collection that from an 04 600rr it includes the ignition cylinder, helmet lock, gas cap, and seat lock and obviously the key for all. Now I can put just the seat lock on but then I have two different keys which is a pain plus the ignition cylinder in my bike turns on with just about any old f2 key so it is time for a replacement.

My question is can you use the ignition cylinder off of a 04 600rr on my 93 f2. I have already searched the forums and have found no lock so I turn to you asking for assistance. Thank you

Default

so I found the part number for my bikes ignition is 35010-mv9-602 and the for the 04 600rr it is 35010-mee-671 so they are clearly different, the bottom of it looks different but very close, the connector looks identical from the pictures but with out have both parts to compare I cant be sure any sort of assistance would be wonderful

Default Go for it

I would do it worst comes to worse you just mod it in, most ignitions are 3 wire ground, power, and ignition so you may have to splice the harness into the new ignition but its really easy to do. red - power, red and blue - ignition, black - ground
Oh and disconnect your battery first if not you may pop your ignition fuse.
