Default indicator problem - desparate for help !

Bike has failed M.O.T (91 - FM)

Front and rear lights are pulsing slightly when illuminated

This happens only when the turn signals are activated.

Have spent hours trying to find the problem - no luck.

Could do with some help here - Please !

What is M.O.T. (91-FM) ? A radio station? (jk)

It could be flasher relays, as with any diagnostic over the internet a video is always helpful.

Sometimes words just can't explain, and a picture is worth 1000 words... Video is worth 10,000

hi guys.

i have the same problem, but i think he want to explain a blink on his headlights and rear lights, when he switch the turn signal, well my participation is this:

We have a 17-20 years old bike, and all the wires or mostly past away, so when we turn the headlights on, that wire offer more resistance and it can't send the needed voltage to illuminate the headlights well and when we turn signals on, we lose a little voltage that create the blink. so i'm thinking to change all wire system, or maybe adding a new wire for headlight with a relay to guarantee full voltage, i think this is one way to solve that problem, if anybody knows a best and cheapest way let me know please.

just curious if any one has tuned up the bikes to see if there are bad plugs and or plug wires that may be causing this resistance because of a faulty or ground out wire...just curious about this?

I'm telling this because when i bought my bike 3 months ago, the bike doesn't or don't(i can't remember) have turn signals wired system, and i do myself a new one system just like the diagram indicates. i only had wired to start the bike headlights and rear lights.

But when i organize the wires and add some plugs i can see mostly of wires are burn but just for the passed years, you know the copper wire turns black,so i can change the more important but i forgot the headlight wire.

And i'm with you, he must check the ground wire but in my case are the wires.

Cheers!!

M.O.T. is a vehicle inspection required in the UK. They can get rather pricey as well. I was stationed in the UK for 3 yrs and loved every minute of it.
