Hey guys, well i am stumped,my bike was runing just fine about a month ago when I removed the tank and plastics for paint, I did the tank first and put it back on and now I can not get it to fire up anymore. I did nothing other than remove the tank and had not started it for about a month. I have had a few people come check it out and they can't figure it out either. Last season I had just had the carbs serviced, new plugs, gears and timing chain so it should be just fine as it was when I parked it. Although I will be sending it in to the mechanic I thought I would get some ideas out there of what it could be. It is getting spark and turning over and yes I put fresh gas in it. With the tank off I funneld gas right into the gas line and it does not really seem to flow in like it should and if you drop a few drops of gas right in the carbs it sounds like it's going to go but it just backfires. Let me know if you guys have any ideas I can look into, hopfully it's just something stupid.

 

First thing to check is the vacuum hose on the petcock. Super easy to forget to put back when you take off the tank.

Is there fuel in the bowls when you undo the drain screws? What do you see or hear when you try and start it? All conditions for starting in place - key, kill switch, petcock, etc.?
