Question exhaust popping on deceleration when under load

ok guys its been a while since i have been on here i have looked all over on the forum for an ainswer to this but dont see one that seems to work for what i need. bike runs great but whenever i let off throttle it makes a poppty pop pop until i give it more throttle or pull the clutch in it does have a full exhaust system and a v&h power pac form what i have been reading on here and other sites it is either jetting issue or exhaust leak issue but the exhaust is sealed as tight as it gets so not sure it could be because its leaking and if it is it can not be much at all the only other thing it will do is after i have been on the throttle for a bit then come to a quick stop it revs up for a few seconds then idles back down to normal i have been told it is running lean i just want to get some input from some guys that may know a little more about these bikes any help is much apreciated.

some popping on overrun is normal. if it is running lean, which it might be if you are running a full exhaust and never rejetted for it, you may want to look at getting a jet kit in there. The plugs are the tell all. Do a plug chop to check the condition and go from there.

With a full exhaust you need to rejet. Pull plugs and check color. White is lean, tan good, black rich. Next pull your carbs and check the main jet size and if the needles are stock. You can also check your pilot screw settings for your year bike. They usually need richening too. Good luck
