hello everyone, well i replaced all four of my exhaust gaskets

i went to clean where the old ones were and i found nothing at all

i looked n the pipe headers no old exhaust gaskets looked in the cylinder head nothing

has anyone came across this. is it possible that the old exhaust gasket can deteriate of period of time. my bike has 16, 000 originals miles.

any ideas.
