Frame sliders are only useful in slow-speed crashes... If you crash at 40mph+ some **** is going to break.

From what I've seen it's a toss up as to their benefit over 40mph. Sometimes they help, sometimes they don't. It appears to me that in the crashes they didn't help, nothing would have saved the bike.

Frame slider surely are no magical solution for crashes. You might as well prep yourself to survive what you can though!
