are extended frame sliders bad?
I was thinking about getting frame sliders and wanted to go with the ones that are an inch longer than normal, so 4" instead of 3". are these sliders going to break off in a crash instead of sliding, or bend the frame? Am I worrying too much about some sliders? The standard ones on the F3 just don't seem to stick out very far to protect all that much.

I always think sliders are like riding with stabalizers, they are brilliant if you fall but make you look like a ***** (I am sure this comment will spark a reaction) I personally do not have them but I am sure if I am ever unlucky enough to bin my bike I will wish I did.
I think they are good if you drop the bike at low or no speed, but if you bin it at a high rate of speed the bike is probably buggered regardless.

i think they are a waste of money. it might help if you drop it in the garage but if you wreck it the plastics are still gonna be screwed anyway. and on the F3 it says you have to mod the plastic. i wouldnt want holes in the plastic on my bike.
Put them on. You'll be thanking them later on. Also put in fork sliders because u never know whats around the corner. And if u planning on doing some track days i think they are a must for a peace of mind. Go for it. After more they wont do any harm. Oh and get the longer once. Cheers
most wrecks are low sides----so take that how u want it---i got sliders on mine and im glad i got em cuz I lowsided being a retard and grabbing to much front brake one day. saved me a ton of money!
