Default Clutch Drag

I replaced my clutch cable and I adjusted it properly. My f2 rolls forward with the clutch pulled in. I run Mobile one synthetic oil in it. I heard synthetic oil is bad for oem clutch plates, don't know if this is true or not. So I am going to replace the plates and springs. Any recommendations on a brand of clutch kit to buy? Also is it true about running synthetic oils being hard on the plates? I bought the bike used and the previous owner said he ran synthetic in it so I continue to use it.

I'm not sure about the clutch pack and full synthetic oil being a problem, I've got a set of Barnett plates, friction rings, and springs in my F2 and run the Castrol synthetic without a problem.

Did it do this before you replaced the clutch cable ?
Does it do it all the time or just then the bike is cold or hot ?
What viscosity oil are you using ?

I run 10w-40 Mobile 1 for bikes . Slipped before and after. Hot and cold. Clutch is properly adjusted on both ends. The transmission shifts fine. Drags when I stop. It keeps rolling forward. I also put it up on a rear stand and went through all the gears and it spins for awhile with clutch pulled in.

It's not the oil. oem clutches are fine with synthetic. If your cable is lubed and adjusted correctly and your oil level is fine, I'd suspect the clutch itself. The plates MAY be okay, hard to say without opening it up. Fingers sometimes get broken/bent, causing the clutch to not return to disengaged. If you are going to replace the clutch, I'd stick to oem.

That's what I kind of figured. I just don't want to waste a fresh expensive oil change.

I agree with corruptFile, it sounds like the clutch pack.
The plates could be warped and/or the friction plates worn.
Your bikes prior owner could have done a fair amount of abuse to the clutch before you bought it.
Sounds like it's time to pull the cover and see what going on in there.
