Hi I recently bought my cbr 600 within a day of buying bike kept cutting out after riding approx 10 miles and wouldn’t restart the garage have replaced vacuum fuel tap.refurbished carbs (jets,rubber seals ) balanced them new battery and brand new regulator/ rectifier took it out and with 10 miles same thing happened bike just cut out,need your help as up to now garage bill been 800 quid any advice would be deeply appreciated

 

Welcome to the forum Bluenose, sorry to hear about the problems that you are having.
When trying to re-start the bike have you been able to check to see if you are getting a spark and or fuel? You will need to start this info for us to be able to help you out further.
As an off the wall thought that sometimes happens, the tank could be vapour locked which would give this issue! Try opening the fuel tank filler and if you hear an inrush of air the breather could be blocked hence starving it of fuel after a short while and stopping it from starting until the lock eventually releases.

 

Bike starts first time since new starter relay but once it cuts out really struggles to restart it once start goes for approx mile then cuts out again I’ll try what I’ve suggested tank really appreciate your help 👍

 

The spark and fuel was tested at garage hence carbs been refurbished and balanced .if it is a breathing problem is it something I could do myself
