So you've had this go on for 9 years and still haven't had a problem? My bike tends to die when the engine starts making those noises... and the sound goes completely away if i hold the throttle above 2,000 rpm. So I sit at all the stop lights in gear with clutch lever pulled in instead of in neutral.
yep, 9 years, and the last 3 have a lot of track miles. I am not so sure the 2 problems are related. You might want to start another thread though. no point switching around the subject on this thread. :P

Alright, so I ended up ordering 4 units of part no. 9, hopefully they're the right part (and the plastic tees themselves aren't cracked). Also ordered some new rubber, since the old tires are cracked and unsafe looking. I took the bike out on the road for the first time today, and I noticed it pulls slightly to the left if I relax my arms. I want to correct this before I mount the new rubber, what are possible problems/solutions?

possible bent forks maybe.. or a slight bend in your triple tree.. i guess that coud pull.. or maybe your tires are worn more on one side then on the other causing it to pull.. i know people have that problem with cars..when the tires are bad. or ones newer then the other.. you know more tread on one side pulls more cause it has better grip an all that jazz

Hmm, I'll check the alignment of everything once the parts get here and everything is apart. Its a very slight pull, seems even less after I properly inflated the tires heh
