Just bought a brand new battery and in one ride it is dead. what is doing this is it the stator???

 

Was it fully charged when you installed it? Did you check it with a voltmeter first? Just because a battery is brand new it doesn't mean it is already charged.

Put it on a trickle charger and let it charge up to 13V. Then follow the flow chart below and see if your charging system is okay.

Your supposed tocharge the battery for awhile.
