....Oh one more thing what about those homemade Vega Cosworth with a 350 and a short shaft turbo 350 tranny pull the tires and change the plugs lol
I had a 73 Vega GT, started out with a bunch of different junkyard smallblocks, turbo 350s and 4 speeds, but finally built a .060 over 327, TH350, and 4.88 geared 12 boltfor it, that lasted about 10 years, when I finally blew that up, it had long since paid for itself in street race winnings, then I built a .030 over roller cammed427 for it, backed it with a TH400, dropped to a 4.56 gear, and strapped a 300+ horse NOS kit on top. It would go 11.50s in street trim, no gas, just like I drove it to work on nice days.Slicked, uncapped, and the bottle on, it would go severely traction limited 9.70s. But alas, street race winnings went to zilch, nobody wanted to run me anymore. [8D]

honestly all biases aside i think the 5.0 is the best bang for buck power in the car class. tons of mods out there for it

bring a 250 to my stang if u want... 8.35 1/8 mile not bad for a street car.. thats w/o the 150 shot good dot slicks though

I have run a few built stangs with my old 88 Hurricane 1000. Only mods to it were 16 front/ 43 rear sprocket. One guy had a 5.0 with a procharger/ Patriot heads it wasn't even close. I like my Gay bike.... really.
