Default Anybody built a 637cc F2?

So I already made my F2 into a F23(splicing the F3 harness in with a fuel pump). I have two spare motors laying around that are definatly parts donors. I am thinking of doing the 637 big bore kit this as a project this winter. How streetable would this bike be with larger pistons?

*Please no speculaters advice.*

I speculate it'll create a black hole and you'll time travel back to when a 637 kit on an F2 was worth the work.

oh wait... no speculation. My bad.

^^^^i'm still unsure if you even own a bike anymore ....

Anyways, i'm not sure if anyone has done something like this lately, i've only read about motor swaps attempts but considering you have spare f2 motors just chilling around your garage why not try and build a beast out of one and leave a stock one just in case something fails

anything is streetable if tuned correctly... but if ur bumping displacement for any regonizable gains your better break out ur wallet for headwork cams etc!!!!! imo not worth it buy a bigger bike

Well I know the F4i Intake cams will work on the intake side and swapping the F2 intake cam to the exhaust is what some do for a cheap fix for racing cams.

I have a working motor on the bike all ready. But want a winter project. Supposedly the F4i pistons are 2mm over the the F2 size and would only need at that point the case bored.

Somewhere on the FireBlade site they talked about +2mm(637cc), the guy that did it said it was alot of work, alot of money, and not very much power increase. Of course if you did the cams, head, lightened crank, to compliment the displacement increasement it would probly be a healthy increase in power. And a major increased $$$$$$$$$$. Also they mentioned something about cbr 900 pistons in the f2 engine for around almost 700cc's. With no overheating issues. Had to press out the sleeves bore is for bigger sleeves etc. Sounds like alot of money, work, etc when a newer 600 would be more reasonable and reliable. But an old f2 built to the max would be awesome.lol

06 GSXR 750. It's got about $1500 in suspension work on it as well as Race DOT tires. It's a damn fun ride.

for the effort involved, I wouldnt. I'd just grab a newer bike. but I see no reason not to learn a little about building a cool big bore F2. seeing as you have donor engines, downtime is totally a nonissue, and you have the time to build the motor proper, which is crucial if you want the thing to do a single effing thing well.

take your time, build it, have fun and learn something new on the way. I've even got F4i cams I'll let go cheap to help,
