Default Carburetor rebuild in NYC

Hello Everyone:

I am the original owner of a 1987 CBR1000F Hurricane. The bike now has 15,200 miles on it and has been well maintained. I have kept this bike on-hand now for 30 years and will continue ownership. I hope someone out there can let me know who in NYC can rebuild the carburetors, as they are now leaking.

Would like to communicate with all of you and can provide further details, but I do not really want to waste anyone time. Extremely rare black/red combo -w- supertrapp slip-ons from back in the day.

Thanks,

Jim

Hey there

My carburetor were leaking too. I have a 90 1000F hurricane. I ended up buying new screw sets from Honda parts online. Can't remember the store. Also bought a gasket sealant from autonpart store as mine weren't too old or cracked and it worked wonders.

I believe I did a write up. If I find it then I'll include it in this pot. I think I called it carburarlo clean up. Sprock and others help a lot when I was working on it.

I'm also in NY, but up in Poughkeepsie; however moved to TX due to my job. I miss my hurricane. Thinking on bringing it over here. Have you find any good fairing or body shop in NYC. I'd like to have it paint and fix a few fairings.

Here the link in my thread. I purchased other parts besides the screws. I purchased the air to fuel screw but all it's explained in the thread below. Good luck. Hit me up if you have any questions but this community is great at helping anyone too!
