Default Carb Cleaning prep

Hello all,
I'm getting ready to do a carb cleaning on my 1990 CBR 100F. never done it before so i'm getting ready on buying stuff that may be needed. I was playing with the air screw and kind of shave off the head so i will buy a new one but found they are not sold by unit in my local shop so i looked in ebay and found the following:
Would this be good?
Jet Kit Honda CBR1000F Hurricane 87-88, 90-91 , 93-96 | eBay
What about this?
90 cbr1000 cbr 1000 F carb carburetor air fuel screw | eBay

what else should i buy to perform a good carb cleaning and a basic rebuilt? Previous owners never clean carb before. Thanks

Why a jet kit ? Only buy one if you need one - they don't generally wear out.....

Make sure that air screw on e-Bay has the little rubber o-ring on it..................

Keep any kind of fluids that don't go well with rubber WELL AWAY like thinners, ethyl alcohol etc. Be careful with "engine start fluid" which works but doesn't like rubber.....

I'd clean them with good old petrol and a stiff bristle brush that'll get in the corners.
There are proprietary brands of carb cleaner - any of them will do.
NO WIRE when cleaning jets - use nylon fishing line.

As to how to do it - there are any number of Threads on carb cleaning. Look through the history in the 1000F and 600 sections.

Keep the parts separated and put them back in the same carb they come out of.

RTM for further info...................

Thanks for the quick response Shadow.
I was looking from underneath on the side of the carburetor and on carb 3 at the bottom there was a red odorless liquid dripping from the screws on the float chamber. I will post a pic once i get home from work, but that makes me think if the rubber on the float chamber needs to be replaced. I read on some post about cleaning carb that you can use Vaseline to help the rubber stick to its place and also help with any leak. Should i just go ahead and buy new rubbers.
About the o-rings on the air/fuel mix screw, can i reuse the ones from the old ones? I sent an email to the ebay seller but no response yet.
Thanks

The best price I was able to find for the rebuild kit was on powersportsplus.com just in case you need it.

if you see the third screw from the left there is a red drop of that liquid. It was a bit oily but not too much and it didn't smell like fuel/gas either. I wiped it off last night. I had not checked it today as i rode it to work and now it's just to late into the night to take the fairings out. I will check it out tomorrow

ALso, the air/fuel mixture screw in car# 4 never sit to where it will not screw in any more. Is this normal or does it mean the screw is broken?

IN carb#1 it does not want to turn either way. It has a bigger head than carb#4 and won't go even one turn around. I don't want to push it as i kind of shave off the dent where you can insert a screw driver to turn it left or right. Is that normal too?

ah - I'd say somebody used silicone to try and seal the float bowls - works - but only
for a short time.

Powersportsplus kits are generally oem Honda

Your opinion on these kits?
Cycle Pro Shovelhead Carb Rebuild Kit for Standard Keihin Carburetors - BikeBandit.com
If this is to be found good, should i just go ahead and replace all gaskets with this kit or just the float bowl gasket?

Mikuni Float Bowl Gasket - BikeBandit.com
What size would it be if found that this is a good replacement for the float bowl gasket?
Thanks
