Default Yoshi Bolt on Clamp

Hey guys,

I just bought a 2nd hand Yoshi bolt on from E bay,
It doesnt come with the clamp though.

Does anyone know where I can find just a clamp?

I have heard if you cut them down to a shorty pipe you dont need a clamp?

Is this true.

Cheers

I have a bolt on Yoshi on an 03, it uses the stock clamp (if you are referring to the clamp that holds it on to the bike near the passenger peg). I looked at the parts fiche, and it doesn't look like that strap-clamp is available by itself from ronayers or bikebandit. Might try a dealer.

I'll check to make sure, but that's what I remember from when I put the Yoshi on (but it's been several years, so my memory could be failing me). If it is different, you'd probably have to go to a Yoshi dealer or contact Yoshimura themselves. I'll check today...

They say that memory is the first to go, and I don't recall what is next.

The clamp is different. I pulled out my very old stock can, the clamp is welded to the can. I had modified the original can and had fabricated a new clamp using a 1" aluminum strip and a little machining.

I'd contact Yoshi direct at their customer service to see if they have the clamp available that comes with your can.

It's welded to the can. You either need to do some fabricating or get a new (used) stock can or a slip-on.
