Default Yoshi Slip/on Arrow Headers and Full Yoshi Exhaust system

Ok gang....

Help explain this to ol NateDiesel here

I have a Yoshimura slip-on.

if I were to add this piece from Arrow

Cycle Sector Arrow Exhaust Headers 600rr

Would it still retain the Cat? I'm confused as to how exactly the exhaust is pieced together I suppose.

If it bolts into the cat / slipon then i'd probably just go with buying a new Yoshimura full exhaust and selling my slip-on.

Also if you guys have an Air Filter suggestion - and do I need a PCV ? or a PCIII ? a little confused after

Thanks.

If you look at the description in your link it says actual product may vary from picture or something like that. If you look at this thread 07-08 Arrow Header install : Honda CBR 600RR Sportbike Forum : 600RR.Net it shows how the header turns up and therefore eliminating the cat. Yes I know this is for an 07/08 but I bet it would be real similar. As for the filter you can't go wrong with K&N or BMC. I'm not sure about the PC. I'll try to do some research tomorrow at work and report back.

Thanks Dubs - you da man.

I think at this rate i'm just leaning towards buying a Yoshi full system - since it will be all matched and ready to go. At a price of around 800 bucks its hard to argue with.

And I can sell my Slip-on after.

Unless anyone knows a way to just get a Yoshi header? I haven't had any luck finding that

Nate here is a decent thread on the differences between the 2 PC pc3 vs. pcv : Honda CBR 600RR Sportbike Forum : 600RR.Net. It looks like the III and V will do pretty much the same thing but the V is more advanced and with that comes more tweeking where the III is more plug and play. If you look there are some links to other threads in there as well. People that bought the PC only gained 3whp where with the IRC they gained 5-6hp for a fraction of the cost. If it was me I would probably forgo the PC and just go with the IRC, you get more HP for less cost and since your not tracking the bike your not going to notice a couple HP. Save that money and buy me my Akra!

Should have bought an 07, where we don't need an IRC. The PC would be favorable to me because as I understand it, it smooths out the throttle, however, the IRC will push you significantly above your sub-100hp dyno run.

As far as headers go, if you ever find any, let me know. I'd be interested as well.

I think at this point i'm either gonna buy an Akrapovic full system or a Yoshi full system and just sell my slip-on

Not sure if I can mentally justify the price difference though hah.

I'll get a PC3usb whichever I go with.

I stand by my statement of how awesome Yoshi is thank you very much Moses

And i'd say about 500 of them are. The other 1,000 are about how awesome I am

I like how its one solid piece - the construction is very impressive. Not crazy about the look of the actual muffler (I prefer Yoshi - SEE MOSES!!! SEE!!).
