Default Wiring issues

Yesterday, I tried to do the LED in the rear pegs mod. The end result when i tied the wires into the turn signal lights was:

o My front signal was very weak, the headlights dimmed every time the lights flashed, and the wires got really hot.

I dont know what I did wrong. I know it really got frustrating when i saw it didnt work, and I had already drilled 4 holes in my pegs.

This is how I did it:

o the package came with 4 separate LEDs. I exposed one wire close to the actual light, and tied the remaining three in. I used that brush on electric tape(which i think is garbage). It saves space, but does not dry completely and form a permanent bondin my opinion. On my left side peg, after the epoxy i used dried, I guess some wires ended up touching and it grounded out, so I got nothing, but some heating wires.

Anyone know why this is happening, and what i can do to try it again and be successful? All help will be greatly appreciated. Help

Wiring something wrong, either ground out or the power is not right; I think you need to bridge the connection with a resistor. Do a search.... I know it has been gone over before.

HEY DOOG SOUND LIKE U GOT A WIRE CRIS CROSSED, IM GONNA SAY IM 99% SURE THAT THE HOT WIRE IS TOUCHIN WHERE IT SHOULDNT BE. TAKE IT APART AND CHECK IT COMPLETELY, THEN WHAT I LIKE TO DO IS USE HEAT SHRINK AND BLACK TAPE. ANYTHING COULD HAVE HAPPENED, MORE THAN LIKELY A WIRE GOT EXPOSED AND IT CAUSIN IT TO DO THAT. CHECK AND REWIRE U WILL FIND THE PROBLEM!

Heres my next question. I can be extra careful this time around when splicing and taping, however, when I apply the epoxy to hold everything in place, is it a possibility that it(epoxy) can act as an electrical conductor and ground out the circuit as it hardens?

it depends on the epoxy some can carry power but most do not. It is best start over with the wire and make sure anywhere their is a bend or it can touch or rub you protect the wire. Even if you just use a bit of heat shrink in the spots. Throw thar liquid tape away that stuff sucks. solder all the connections and wrap them and heat shrink them, it will not only look better it will last longer.
as for the hot wire something is crossed a set of LEDS will not pull enough power to hurt anything or need a relay.
