Default wheelies

whats the easiest way to wheelie this bike? i've been doin it a little in 1st gear, i pop it up a good 1.5-2 feet then just let off and drop it back down...havent ridden em out too much, if at all. not sure if 1st gear is the way to go when wheelie'n this bike? how do the most of you do it? i heard with the power of this bike its almost better to do it in 2nd? any pointers?

Everyone learns different. Are you powering or clutching? If your clutching just keep raising th RPMs a little more as you get more comfortable. 1st gear is twichy on every bike, thing will shoot up reall fast. 2nd does come up slower and smoother...but then again u have a 954 not a F4i...so if your not careful your RR will land u on ur *** in 2nd real fast too...practice practice practice find u own style that is most comfortable to you and TAKE YOUR TIME.

i'm just power wheelie'n...so 1st gear comes up damn fast, and yeah, is very touchy. i've tried power wheelie'n in 2nd but it seems like you have to be goin pretty fast to have the RPMs up high enough to pull the bike up in 2nd. granted i only weigh about 145lbs, so pullin the bike up is pretty tough. what RPM in 2nd gear do you usually do it at when power wheelie'n?

well I clutch it up and I have an F4i so it wouldnt really match up to your bike...try clutching it, given your bike should throttle up, ide go with clutching it, you can bring it up at lower RPM than a power wheelie.

whack the throttle around 8-9grand and that thing will fly in second or third...i guess it is a bit fast...over the speed limit thats for sure...but then again it does 20mph over the speed limit in 1st gear so i dunno what your looking for...ur not gonna do a slow power wheelie unless ur on a crf 50...i set mine down comin off 3rd gear stand up power wheelie doin 125mph so...depends on what ur tryin to do...don't kill yourself...if you do dump the bike in some grass so it doesn't get ****ed up

speed helps you keep it stright instead of leaning. just work the rpm up a little more when you clutch it, and cover that rear brake.

like they said, take your time!!! if you dont wanna clutch it in second, take off like yur gonna bring it up, youll be runnin about 50-60...let off so your front ent will essentially be pulled up w/o yur wheel coming off the ground then when you let off it will compess yur springs allowing yu to power up hard the second time and bring it up easier,,it takes a lil practice..if yu watch some stunt videos you'll see them "bounce" there front ends, they're jus usually doining it in 3rd gear runnin 100.
