What's the ....fpr
This is strictly my opinion of the value of these forums...
I view these forums as a means to share knowledge and experience about motorcycles.
Both riding and wrenching, with a focus on Hondas. For everyone that asks a question,
there are a dozen in the background waiting for the answers. Motivation for asking the
question is irrelevant (and beside the point). Making judgements about someone's
personality and background, and then flaming them, based on your aprroval/dis-
approval, really has no place in the friendly/helpful atmosphere fostered by the
moderators of these forums. So, yeah, all of your denigrating comments about the
poster, as opposed to answering the question itelf, are "harsh".

You guys think I was "harsh" on the guy? A day after he buys the bike he wants to get rid of it because its not conducive to his broken back problems; give me a break. Ive got shot, stabbed, have titanium parts through out my body, and realize a freaking super bike is not gonna be a damn tricycle to ride. How do you own 12 bikes and not know what a fpr is? You guys may think Im harsh, but I think hes a lame, going through midlife crisis or something.
If you bought a Harley and came to our forum and didn't understand an acronym we use, would we come down on you? Yeah, probably, the Harley guys are a rough internet crowd, usually hard on each other as well as newcomers. But I'm glad to see you know everything about everything , especially bikes. You're da man !!!

sitting on a bike at a dealership, riding a friend's for a few miles is a whole different game than owning and riding one full time.
so i hear you that it is really uncomfortable.
with that being said though, there are some things you can do to make it more comfortable for yourself. things that you can buy, and then ways you can sit/things you can do to make it better.
sergeant seat, adjustable rearsets, padded grips, hell, even a lsl superbike kit (or equivalent) are some things you can buy for it.
flexing your abs instead of resting your body's weight on your wrists, curving your back different, etc. are some things you can do to make it more comfortable yourself.
i was a college lacrosse player. i don't have an un-injured part of my body left. plus i was a dumb kid that did dumb things that i probably shouldnt have. my body is toast. both shoulders, back/spine, right hip, both knees, ankles, right foot, --- i can keep going on and on about the parts of my body that are "done". so really, i do understand the discomfort of sportbikes
but i love riding. and it probably helps a little bit that i started on sportbikes (as opposed to cruisers which are more conducive for comfortable riding).
one of my 954's is fightered with dirty bars. i can ride that thing all day every day - no problems. my repsol though is a different story.
so it's nice to have 2 bikes - one thats a little more versatile/comfortable, and then one that is made for kicking everyone's *** on - like you have right now
i'd give it a little while, i'm sure you'll become more used to it and less uncomfortable

And since the question has been asked and answered, the personal dialogue will have to take place in PM cause this one is closed.
FYI: coming from a F3, I had no clue what a for was or what it did. Since the f3 didn't have one
