Cool

What the asking price? Mileage? Make sure if you get it, you get as much info on service record as possible. This bike is not a starter bike, and can kill you. I want you to take it very seriously, when riding that bike home 3 hours; when I rode mine home, the front tire was off the ground by accident several times. 954 is 1/10 of second slower than hayabusa on 1/4 mile, or 1/10 of second faster with me driving. You sound like a newbie. Take your time, get to know the bike, and respect it more than anything you hold dear; take it from me, I have titanium rods, and screws in my legs.

He did say, "Please", and he does have a point about the difficulty of
checking fuel ecomomy. We don't want him whining and peeing on the rug,
so I vote we let him have the cookie. Especially considering his sterling
character and past record for common-sense advice. ;-)

Trucked it home, wife couldn't take me to get it. I'm not a newbie to bikes, just to this much power. Had 2 FZ1's previously, they were the fastest I'd owned up to this point. I've got 56,000 miles on my Harley Ultra and about that much on various other bikes, I try to keep 2 in the garage at all times, but I buy/sell/trade like crazy, looking for the perfect 2nd bike. I would have been just as happy with a 600cc but look at what I got:

2002 CBR 954RR

11,000 miles As close to mint as possible, and I've owned a TON of bikes !!!

Micron slip on
LED signals in rear pegs
Red LED’s under bike, very pro
Trickle charger
Rear hugger
Double Bubble shield
Frame sliders
HJC helmet ( Don’t need, already have a Shoei RF1000 )

New Werner ramps
New tank bag

I'm probably forgetting some stuff too. He gave me some service records also. He was asking $3,900.00. I got it all for $3,000.00 cash !!!
I'd say I done good!!!

There was a recall for the steering bearing; I believe. Go to your local honda dealer or qualified service department, and have them look up your vin to see if it has been serviced; I dont think there is a time limit when it comes to those type of recalls. It tends to get a little hot at times, so make sure you have clean coolant, good battey, and get a small flathead and fix the fins on the radiator.

damn, very good. don't be afraid of it, just respect it. 954's can be a real tame and nice bike - or they can be a spiteful bitch... it's all in how you ride it. hope it rides well. radiator guards are a very nice little thing to put on your bike, too. mine has saved me before.

Cool

You guys think I was "harsh" on the guy? A day after he buys the bike he wants to get rid of it because its not conducive to his broken back problems; give me a break. Ive got shot, stabbed, have titanium parts through out my body, and realize a freaking super bike is not gonna be a damn tricycle to ride. How do you own 12 bikes and not know what a fpr is? You guys may think Im harsh, but I think hes a lame, going through midlife crisis or something.
