My 02 054 ticks. i read somwhere on here that it is normal and also that it is not and that my valves need adjusted. I really do not want to tear into the motor until winter! But anyways the bike has 12k on it and it has always seemed to tick, its not real loud but its deffinately noticeable and seems to go away above about 4k RPM. Please let me know what you think. I do not want my motor to blow up.

dont worry bout it, i have 23k on mine and still has a slight tick its just a known honda noise. untill it starts soundin like a bag a quarters hittin another bag dont worry bout it. ur senses will tell u when its not normal. if you want reassurance and dont mind wasting the money then have it checked out, but personally it would be a waste of time. from what i have been told(certified honda mechanic) cbr's rarely need a valve adjustment. hope this helps

I have 33K on mine and it has a tick too and it has always had it.
