Alright, so I have a little more info about my problem here.

It looks like the part that I previously had on the bike had the throttle tubes going into the bottom of the start/kill assembly, whereas the new part has the throttle cables going into front of the assembly. The problem is I'm looking online at RonAyers and ServiceHonda and the online microfiche is all showing the front-mounted throttle cables, which A. takes up just enough slack that I can't go to full left lock without binding the cables and B. it looks like the throttle cables would interfere with the brake lever operation!

Can someone take a peek at their bike and see if your throttle cables go into the bottom or front of your start/kill assembly on the right handlebar?
