I went through my entire clymer and it doesn't have one good picture or diagram where I can see how my clutch, choke, and throttle cables are routed through/around the frame. I tried the search function on here, and tried searching google with no luck. I even tried finding some close up pics as well- no go.

If anyone can help me out, it would be very appreciated. Maybe one of you readers has their fairings off at the moment and would like to snap a quick pic, I would love you. Or perhaps, you are a genius at describing things. I would return the love with pictures of my bike almost all put back together

Those ARE great pics of the cable routing. time to go find an F3 manual to download... stupid F2 manual has nothing that easy to understand.

 

Well, I said i'd post a pic. But with the quality of the picture, it's barely worth posting. Anyways, here she is mostly back together for the first time on her own two wheels after a long winter. I went through the entire bike and quite literally, the only thing in NEED of being replaced, was my pro link suspension bearings. They were a little rusted out. This is after 24k miles. Everything else was in great condition, which really surprised me... And didn't at the same time considering it's a Honda.

Oh, and my clutch cable has a few torn strands. I will be replacing that.

Only things that still need to go on, are exhaust, wiring harness, rear brake, and foot pegs. Oh and the front fairing stay and dash. I'm hoping to ride it tomorrow.

Hi my f2 throttle cable wont spring back easily either, sharp bend going under frame under tank, think they are routed wrong, should one cable go over frame bar under tank and other underneath currently both cables are going under bar in front of carbs (thats the bar that holds the coils) got new cables coming tomorrow so any help with info or pictures greatly appreciated, thanks

 

The correct way to run the cable is so they don't have sharp bends.
I think that means one over and one under the coil bar. But it's been a long time.
So try installing whatever way is the straightest. It will make more sense when you do it.

Also check your hand grips.
I've seen WAY to many installed wrong or use very poor grips that don't fit.
Many times poor throttle snap back is because the grips are rubbing on the throttle housing or bar end.
