i dont kno out of all of the thats the one i liked the most but i just spend another thousand on my bike so she aint goin anywhere im goin to wait till the end of the summer and see what i cant get all banged up cause i just came from the shop the guy said he has 100 bikes in like the past 2 months and 1/3 were already wrecked so i grab one of them cheap and make it pretty again it makes in more fun anyway nothing like getting something that is destroyed and then when it done u r left with a bike that u want cause u built if for half the price

i think we're all just spoiled by our 54's. no bike will ever hold a candle to it as far as a total package.

I test rode a couple Ducati's a week ago including the 848 and have got to agree with everyone else herethe 954 is simply one of the best sportbikes ever builtlight weight (what do the new ones weigh now???), comfortable, great power to weight ratio, solid brakesand outstanding handling. I dont care what the manufacturers do totry and reinvent the wheel THEY ARE WASTING THEIR TIMEthe 954 is perfection. If I ever kill my 954 Ill rebuild too or buy another.
new ones???? pssst discontinued n replaced. Not that make the 954 or 929 bad bikes or worse. I like my old bike
LOL!! NOT new 954 or 929 bikes!!! The newest, latest and "greatest" litre bikes all weigh 30-40 lbs more than the lightweight 954.

Where'd you get all those test rides?

KeS
Ducati right now is traveling to various dealerships and allowing you to testride any of their "test" bikes. They bring 12-14 bikes with them and for 3-4 days you can go on a set ride with other potential buyers and 2 of the Ducati reps. You have to have a motorcycle endoresement on your license and have to show proof of insurance before they will let you ride. You wreck-you buy! In fact they didnt have a 1098 to ride because some idiot wrecked it and did $20k in damage!! They supplemented though with 2 848's.

Yeah, the European bikes aren't as bad, but I've never had a Japanese dealer let me take test rides, even with cash in my hand.
