Suggested suspension settings??
So... I'm planning on doing a track day in the near future and my suspension is going to need some assistance. When I bought my 954, the owner before me weighed 350 pounds at least!!! and he was 5'6". So obviously my bike is pretty darn stiff. So my question is: what should I be setting my bike's suspension to? I'm 6'3" and weigh right around 204lbs. I looked on sportrider.com's "suggested" settings but, that's suggested. Anybody in my body type have a setup that's worked well? Any advice would be great!

RE: Suggested suspension settings??
I know the tracks we have in Texas (Ft. Worth, Bryant/College Station) have personal there that will set your suspension up for you while you sit on it. For an additional fee of course. Not sure on where your going and if they have the same things. I suggest you call the track and find out if they have a suspension team there to assist you in that.

RE: Suggested suspension settings??
If they are having you sit on the bike seems to me all they are doing is setting your (race sag) and preload.
Only way to adjust the compression and rebound is to ride the bike.
If your bike is a good stock unit and your just going to play on the track then the stock settings are fine for the rear as long as you set the sag.
On the front i would slow the rebound up, one turn out from full in would be fine. I would also go a half a turn in on the compression or another words 1 1/2 turns out.
Stock settings are 2 full turns out.
