Hold on now, Texas. Don't jinx me. Haven't gotten around to installing the sliders just yet. First we have to get through the latest wave of severe storms/tornadoes. Maybe tomorrow.

if you're out there shearing off engine mount bolts then maybe you need to release undo stress prior to the install.

Well, I managed to install some new Progrips before the rain started again.

Got the same on mine. To me it seems like a grip is a grip.....

The stock grips that I replaced were hard as a rock and lacking any grip so new Progrips are a huge improvement.

Just installed a set on mine as well, although I did mine to change the color, I was surprised how good a brand new set is, I might have to switch em out once a year....hell they are cheap enough!

They're great for "sliding" on the tar but not so good if they dig into the dirt and allow the fairings to be damaged, casings scratched, gouged or cracked. I had them on a GSXR600 a while back that I high sided and they saved the bike big time. Damaged mirror, light scratching on the left side casing, light scratching on tail fairing and snapped left foot peg mount. Could have been far worse without them.

I picked up a new set of protek frame sliders for a good price. They are easy to install, mine were more complicated bc I have mesh over all the open areas in the fairings. Took me a little while to cut out the exact size hole I needed for them to pass through. Worth every penny though. If I replace them I'll go with the LSL crash pads. Saw them take a hit and did a great job as they did not tear out of the frame or what not.
