Default Stuck timing hole cap

Its the 45mm small round black cap on the right case cover, or clutch cover. Mine is REALLY stuck. I have broken the nut off of it (with about 30ft of torque) and now the whole case cover is off..secured in a vise with lots of padding. And the cap is now fubared with a slot cut into it from edge to edge and a large wide 1/8" thick "custom" tapered metal strip through it. I am seriously determined to save this cover and get this cap out!! Anyone ever encounter this? Is it just completely siezed? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I have not seen this happen before. how about making two perpendicular cuts in the cap fromedge to edge, just don't hit the threads, and break it out of the hole...

wow that worked!! thanks! i was able to break it out using a large hammer and heavy punch! hacksawed the threads 180 degrees from each other . got so close to the threads i could see their impression in the cutout!! stopped, then placed the cover on my table and a couple of whacks later one piece broke free. Amazing at how tough this was!? BTY no sign of grease on the threads...which tells me it was siezed up pretty good. what a pain in my **** that was!! Thanks. Also SLF Racing exists...here in AZ.. thats our clubs name, I am a member. Two friends started it. Tshirts stickers the works!! Nice slogan.
