stolen bike wont start
I started piecing together my 954 and i have reached the point where the engine turns over but will not start. I will list what ive had to do and maybe somebody will recognize something that is causing it not to start.
First off the bike was stolen with no key, they removed it from my garage and threw it in the back of a truck. When i got the bike back they had spliced 3 wires from the ignition (trying to jump it i assume) I replaced start/ stop switch and ingition.
Also stolen were 2 coil packs the air filter along with the screws an airbox gasket. They beat it up pretty bad so there was a lot of cosmetic damage.
I cant find anything else missing that will cause it not to start, so im looking for ideas on other possible causes. Could jumping it have done something to the computer or other ingition component? I have only a small amount of gas in it (maybe a gallon) is that enough to start it on it was completely drained.
I assume the coil packs were good that I bought. Sorry for the long post just looking for some starting places.

*whew* title was a little misleading. Had me thinking you were asking how to start a ride you stole
What she doing when you try to start it? Do you have lights and dash? Does she crank but not catch? I'm not familiar with the 929 so someone with more knowledge about the fuel system can ask the normal questions (fuel pump, if it has one, prime / start pumping?)

Finally got my 954 to start, all the spark plugs were lose (think they tried to thieve those too) Ran thru several checks started to test the coils and inspect the plugs thats when we put them back in and made sure they were tight crossed our fingers and hit the start button. Fired right up, now all I need is head light housing, blinkers plastic, brake fluid resevoir and a lot of bolts.
Thanks for all the tips and suggestions.
