Default Stock Muffler Modification

I have a spare can laying around and was wondering if anyone has had any luck modifying them to sound better. I was thinking about shortening it just a bit too, for s&g. I've never been inside one and was hoping someone could throw me some info. Thanks...

I've seen them beat the insides with rebar or something about the same size as the hole there it opens up the baffles but I would be careful.

I am thinking of drilling out the rivets, removing the top of the can, and seeing what i can do to let some of the noise out. Again, i don't know what's inside it, but nothing really to lose. It's just sitting in the garage right now in a box. It's scuffed so if it gets fubar'd i'll throw it in the trash. Guess i'll have to do it to find out.
Thanks for your help 600...nice wheel btw. I really like that color 954. You'll have some fun with that one.

I honestly wouldn't mess with the baffles too much, It's not good for the valves at all. Just find a used bolt on or somthing.
