whats up fellas..I wanted to ask everybody if ever they have this problem on their 54...It started at the track last november...After going through inspection I started my bike and heard a pop through the exhaust..then after riding it to our spot....It wouldn't start. I got it to start after a few minutes...Yesterday..It did the same thing...after I went in the store andbought cigarettes..it wouldn't start..battery seems low on charge... I was able to push start it ...today when I started it, I heard a pop again....then the engine turn over...did this ever happen to anybody..what was the problem?....thanks for any info guys.

 

low battery,how old is battery bike is fi so need to have good voltage to run properly. or some old fouled plugs fromlots short rides maybe? good luck.

 

What kind of pop are you hearing from exhaust or more of an electrical pop?

 

my battery died... but no pop. if u had to push to off, and it stayed running after that wit no problem id replace the 170 dollar battery

 

battery is a good place to start. if that doesnt work then you have a charging issue. let us know if the battery helps

 

I'm curious about the origin of this 'pop', sounds like a backfire. The starting problem sounds like a weak battery or perhaps a loose connection. You may be building up fuel in the cylinders and once you get enough juice to fire a spark it backfires.
