Default Problem starting

I have had my 02 F4i for a few months and its been giving me some trouble. Every once and a while I will turn my bike on, flip the killswitch, and attempt to start but it dosn't turn over. Instead it makes a click sound. After a few more attempts it will start up. I've had a new battery and regulater installed. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem or can tell me what it is i need to fix the problem? Also my starter button gets stuck and i have to flip it back to the original position.

How do I do that? I'm new to bikes so I don't have a lot of knowledge about them so would i need to take it to a shop and have them check it?

It could be a low battery. Is the fuel pump priming?
