I'm looking at buying a Scotts steering damper off of a 929 from a guy here in town. He said I would need to buy a different mount as the 954 mount is different. Does anyone know if this is true? I thought the 929 and 954 mounts were the same.

 

I believe the peg for the 954 is longer.I had one from a 929 on mine before,didn't have an issue.
