Default Problem....blahhh

ok so the previous owner of my bike went down at about 20mph......the frame sliders saved the bike. After all the work ive done this winter, new frame sliders was one of the last things to throw on. Well last night taking the right one off (side it went down on) i noticed the bolt was tweaked pretty bad. Now the new bolt for the slider wont catch the threads. this is a problem, because now i dont want to ride it until thats fixed as it also mounts the motor. Whats the easiets solution? drill it out a little bigger and re-tap it? and just buy a bigger bolt? anu info would be great, its beautiful out here....and i just want to ride. thanx. P.S. new pix comming after this is fixed.....shes lookin sick.

Try to find a tap that is the same as the bolt and try and chase the threads first. If that doesn't work you may have to drill it out and use a helicoil repair kit. Then you can still use the original bolt. Don't know if you could do that in the frame or not? You might have to rotate the motor down a little to get past the frame? I would try saving it first. Not the greatest solution but if you want to ride loosen the other motor mount bolts and move the motor so it catches the threads then try to get the other bolts lined up. Don't get too rough with it. If it doesn't work just wait. It is kind of a cobble way but it may work for you.
