Default Which Michelin Pilot Power?

The regular Pilot Power, or the Pilot Power "race" tire (2CT)

Just got the bike earlier this month, doubt I'll use all the tires just yet, as MOST of my riding is not on REALLY curvy roads. The cheaper Pilot Powers should be OK right?

Price is $112/$160 VS $125-$150 front and $215 rear for the CT2's

The normal ones are great for the street, and the beginner group on a trackday. Go to the 2CT if you start doing trackdays and get to Intermediate; go one more step up to DOT-Race for Advanced or racing.

It will probably be awhile before I am able to do a trackday, from what I understand you have to have full leathers, all my gear is textile so that counts me out.

Ordered the regular Pilot Power's, I'd like to find a set of spare rims so I could have 2 sets of tires, one street and one track set. Total came out to $287 shipped for both tires. I've stopped searching around for best tire prices, I just go to derbycycles.com , they always seem to be cheap.

Thanks for the info!
