My can is also cut 8 inches....your not talkin about the same cone as me....i think your talking about the baffle inside your can.

 

no there is no baffle inside- i can look through my can and into the pipe. . . its just a cone "screen" with both sides of the cone open wrapped in header tape and inserted into the can its self.

 

I have a yoshi R&D pipe that I cut to 9inches but now im stuck because I do not know where to cut the inner cone. anyone done thsi to this exhaust before or have any idea where to cut the cone. remember the inner cone has two mess cones and the inner one one is funneled. any advice woul be great.

 

Well im guessing yours was like mine...one side was wider to fit over the cone on the midpipe. You basically wanna cut the the inner tube the same length u cut the can...theres a lip inside the can you want want the tube to fit around so it fits secure. I've heard u can also cut the tube/baffle a little shorter....to make it louder. So basically if its secure on the bottom end of the can your good....i would cut it to length of the can though!

 

ok thanks for the advice and yeah your roght about it being like yours it sounds like we ran into the same things. ill let you know how it goes and post some pictures after its finished.
