Its my first time on this forum and i am hoping you can help me out. I have a 954 2002 and have never had any problems with it until now. I went out to my bike this morning to start it and the screen lit up as normal but the hiss light and oil light were flashing and there was a clicking noise coming from under the seat (clicking and flashing coincided with each other).I took the seat away and in front of the battery under a black plastic cover there was what i assume is a relay that is doing the clicking. the starter motor is working still but the engine willl not start. Any ideas??? thanks in advance btw :-)

 

Oh yeah, also when I flick the kill switch to off (key still in the on position) the flashing and clicking stops, then once i flick it back on again so too does the flashing and clicking.... jus thought this may help a diagnosis.

 

Is the light flashing a code? Count how many flashes and the consult the manual, or post up the results on here. Does the fuel pump prime? What is the hiss light?

 

thanks for your post, well i followed the instruction on the manual and used a jumper on the connector to get the error code but the light just constantly flashed and had no pauses or breaks nor were there any longer flashes than any others, I must have done it about 8-9 times thinking i was doing something wrong but every time i was able to count to 60+ flashes. The hiss light i referrred to was the honda immobiliser security system light (or HISS to save my typing :-) ) it flashes in sync with the error light. The clicking I have traced to be the fuel cut off relay, not sure if this helps but it is def that that is clicking. Also the fuel pump does not make its usual priming noise. any info would be great...
