Default brake pads

hi all - as you probably noticed ive been going through my [new to me] 02 954- its brake time -i changed the fluid front and back[bleeded them good]but front brake still seems a little spongy to me but saying that im pretty picky-anyway back to the brakes -i checked my pads they still have lots of life on them but they are almost mirrorlike shiny and smooth as a babys butt i dont know if this is normal for a sport bike brakes or not on my other bikes they do not have this shine to them -then again i never drove my others at 140 mph either anyway is this a normal look to theese pads [ebc racing pads ] by the way thanks to all who took the time to answer my posts in the past thanks mike......

They are glazed,I would replace them with ebc hh brake pads or oem ones.

yup I would def. say glazed. replace em and take off at a low speed and brake with em slow and steady for a bit to get the first layer off and you should be good to go. Dont brake hard on new brake pads to start off with after you get the first layer off it should prevent glazing. Some say that it isnt necessary but I do it anyways.
