I noticed that my 954 shifts gear when I'm hauling *** with no problem when I ride. But if I'm just cruisin and go from 1st to 2nd it's but if I ride in second for too long my bike pops from second back down to neutral. What can cause this? Do I need a new clutch or is it a transmission problem? Thanks in advance for the help.

 

its sounds like 2nd gear is going bad. have u or were u been shifting without the clutch lately or may be popping wheelies in 2nd gear alot?

No. Just noticed it started doing it. It scared the hell outta me the first time. I bought the bike brand new from the dealership and put a little over 22K on it so far. So its that from normal wear and tear or am I cominig out the *** on repairs?

 

Its possible the shift fork for second gear needs a look see and maybe a little adjustment.

 

my bike does the same thing!!!!!!!!! under acceloration pops out.. sucks
